Trade skills, built and tested
on real job sites.
Ten hands-on vocational programs across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire, BMS and low-voltage trades — taught by the same licensed crews who wire, plumb and commission Apex projects across Australia.
Ten programs. One integrated trade.
Every Apex crew is cross-skilled across the systems that keep a building running — so our training roster mirrors exactly what our technicians work on, from first fix through to commissioning.
Electrical Engineering & Installation
Switchboard wiring, circuit design, testing and compliance under AS/NZS 3000 — the foundation trade every Apex program builds on.
HVAC (Air Conditioning & Ventilation)
Split and ducted systems, refrigerant handling, airflow balancing and ventilation design for comfort and compliance.
Plumbing & Drainage Systems
Pipe fitting, drainage falls, backflow prevention and fixture installation for residential, commercial and industrial builds.
Fire Fighting & Fire Alarm Systems
Detection panels, sprinkler and hydrant networks, and testing regimes under AS 1851 — protecting life and property.
Building Management Systems (BMS)
Sensors, controllers and integration platforms that monitor and optimise a building's electrical, HVAC and safety systems.
ELV Systems
Structured cabling, access control, intercoms and nurse-call — the extra-low-voltage backbone of modern buildings.
Industrial Equipment Installation & Maintenance
Rigging, alignment and preventive maintenance of pumps, motors and heavy plant equipment on live industrial sites.
Automation & Control Systems
PLC programming, SCADA basics and control-panel wiring for automated plant and building processes.
Generator & Electrical Equipment Maintenance
Genset servicing, load-bank testing, switchgear inspection and standby-power reliability procedures.
Fire Fighting & Fire Alarm Systems — Servicing & Compliance
A dedicated servicing track focused on periodic inspection, fault-finding and statutory compliance reporting for existing installations.
CCTV, Networking & Low Voltage Systems
IP camera installation, structured network cabling and configuration for integrated security and surveillance systems.
Trained by the crews who do the work.
Apex Academy sits inside a working electromechanical contractor — not a classroom-only provider. Every program is shaped by what actually gets installed, commissioned and maintained on-site.
Licensed Trainers
Learn from qualified electricians, mechanical technicians and system specialists actively working Apex projects.
Live Jobsite Exposure
Workshop training is paired with supervised placements on real commercial, industrial and residential sites.
Tools & PPE Supplied
Trainees are equipped with the safety gear and trade tools used on Apex sites for the duration of their program.
Certification & Pathways
Graduates leave with recognised competency records and a direct pathway into Apex crews or partner employers.
From enrolment to on-site deployment.
Every program — regardless of trade — follows the same four-stage delivery model.
Enrol & Assess
We assess your experience and goals to place you in the right program and starting level.
Foundation Training
Workshop-based instruction covering theory, standards, tools and safe work practices.
On-Site Placement
Supervised, hands-on work on live Apex projects alongside licensed technicians.
Certify & Deploy
Final assessment, certification, and introduction to crew placements or partner employers.
